Performance
of the health system in the sub region are thwarted by many obstacles
ranging from governance problems, lack of funding for research,
qualified and motivated staff and medical supplies, poor cooperation
between researchers and Member States in the fight and control of
cross-border epidemics. Regarding such a situation, more than a hundred
African scientists in health met in Ouagadougou from 4 to 7 March 2013
in order to reflect on health systems in the fight against communicable
and non communicable in theECOWAS.
